TEACHERS
Alters
provides a flexible approach to
teacher staffing. Our
teachers are available to work in your school as and when
you need them to cover absence, planned or otherwise, INSET,
sickness, maternity leave or unfilled vacancies.
We are able to supply at short notice.
Our
telephone lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
All you have to do is phone us when you require a
teacher, with the starting time and period of the day, also
for KS3 to KS4, advise which subject or age specialties are
required, and we will do the rest. You can be sure that Alters
will send you a teacher with the appropriate experience for
the job.

- undertakes
full vetting of all candidates including in-depth
interviews, reference checking, police clearance,
validation of qualifications and medical clearance.
- continually
assesses the performance of Alters teachers.

Our
Teachers
- are
punctual, suitably dressed and arrive early enough to be
briefed by the school.
- take
a full role in school life including parents’
evenings, completing records, testing and child
assessments when placed on longer assignments.
- complete
hand over notes after every assignment for the
information of the regular class teacher.
- comply
with the client school’s procedures, policies and
practices, insofar as they can be ascertained are aware
that physical punishment and contact of any kind will be
avoided as failure to do so could result in criminal
prosecution.
- are
sensitive to what constitutes inappropriate language,
and avoid the use of any language that could be
perceived as being negative, abusive or offensive.
- are
understanding of children’s special educational needs.
